The details:
This bike is built for cross country racing on a budget, with durability and weight in mind. Total weight as pictured: 23.2lbs
Frame: Kona Big Unit 17inch Scandium with sliding dropouts (can be set up singlespeed!!!)
Fork: Fox Evolution Series 32 Float, CTD (climb-trail-descend) damper, rebound, E2 tapered steerer, 15QR thru axle, custom G2 Geometry w/51mm offset on 29ers, 100mm travel (swapped over from a Trek Superfly 8)
Wheels: HiFi Hootenany wide - 30mm width aluminum custom built wheels - 1500grams-ish for the pair. Aluminum tubeless 29er. Fidelity Hubs, Japanese stainless steel bearings. Wide and radical.
Bars: Bontrager RXL Carbon 68mm (they might get a few cm shorter soon - feeling a little too wide for my XC habits)
Crankset: XTR M9875
Chainring: Wolf Tooth Drop stop 1by specific to XTR M9875 88mm bcd - 34 tooth
Rotors: XT ice tech 160mm front and back
Brakes: Shimano SLX hydraulic
Pedals: Crankbrothers Candy2 - orange for Kona!
Tires: Bontrager XR2 team issue - a great do it all tire!
Rear Der: Shimano XT Clutch-style
Cassette: Shimano SLX (maybe an XT upgrade soon for some more weight savings?)
